My Favorite iPhone Photos from August 2015

I take a metric ton of photos with my iPhone because...well, it's the camera that is always with me. It is an obsession. I took and edited over 359 photos in August and selected my favorite 25. 😊

311 and The Green Live at Bayou Music Center

I saw 311 (and The Green) for the first time on Friday night (7/31). The best, most exciting concert I've ever been to. We were about 3-5 rows (depending on the crowd movement) from the stage. It tested my "people proximity" phobia. I can say now that I might be able to survive a crowded elevator. 😉

We arrived fairly early to beat the crowd, so we started off with a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe. After that we were led to the Old No 7 Bar downstairs at Bayou Music Center for more drinks. After about an hour we were led onto the floor in front of the stage. It was kinda hard on my feet standing from about 7pm until well after 11pm, but it was worth it.

It was a fun, fun night.

My Five Favorite Instagrammers

Instagram is a great way to share photos and can be very addictive. I started using the service over two years ago and currently have 2,656 photos - so I'm addicted (@rhondatipton). Yes, I know it is a subject of ridicule by some and the parity video was freaking hilarious. With that said, there are MANY inspiring Instagrammers out there that are producing some AWESOME photos.

Below are my five favorite Instagrammers --

1. Luke - @PurposeOfEnvy

2. Nala Rinaldo - @nala_rinaldo

3. Kyle Stickens - @urbaneyestudio

4. Chrixtian-Xavier - @cxcart

5. Hervé BOIS - @timbrado

My Go-To iPhone Photography Apps

I did a guest post some time ago about some different iPhone apps I use for photography. This is kind of an update to that post, so to see more apps, please check out that post as well.

Anyone who knows me, knows I like to take photos...of everything...using anything. My iPhone 4S is with me at all times and it has a pretty decent camera. Believe it or not I have three go-to apps that I use to edit photos on my iPhone.

PicFx

This app has over 100 effects, textures and frames. You can layer as many effects as you like using the "Add another" function.

Snapseed

A very strong app for editing. You can add filters, frames and do across the board tuning. However, the best part is the selective tuning (ie: dodging and burning) and detail tuning (ie: sharpening and structure).

Camera+

This app offers lots of scenes, filter effects and borders. It also has nice rotate and cropping capabilities.

Other apps that I use from time to time for fun effects --

Marblecam

Takes pictures that look as if you had focused on a glass marble with a macro lens.

Mobile Monet

Converts a photo to a beautiful artistic rendering employing a creative interactive process.

There are many many iPhone photography apps out there, so I'm sure there will be another update to this list in the future.
