311 and The Green Live at Bayou Music Center

I saw 311 (and The Green) for the first time on Friday night (7/31). The best, most exciting concert I've ever been to. We were about 3-5 rows (depending on the crowd movement) from the stage. It tested my "people proximity" phobia. I can say now that I might be able to survive a crowded elevator. 😉

We arrived fairly early to beat the crowd, so we started off with a drink at the Hard Rock Cafe. After that we were led to the Old No 7 Bar downstairs at Bayou Music Center for more drinks. After about an hour we were led onto the floor in front of the stage. It was kinda hard on my feet standing from about 7pm until well after 11pm, but it was worth it.

It was a fun, fun night.

Two Mud Runs and a Pear Tree

Earlier this year...October to be exact, I participated in two 5k mud runs a weekend apart. This is a quick summary of photos from both runs.

On October 5th, some co-workers and myself did the Mighty Mud Dash. Our team was named the Bay-Porte Bulldogs. It was my first time doing this run and I have to say...there is a huge abundance of mud. Ha!

On October 11th...a week later several friends from Camp Gladiator and myself did The Gritty Goddess. This was my 4th time doing this run and it was the funnest one yet! The Gladiators Gone Gritty got 'er done.
