I had such a fun time with these two! Lilly is a very smart and well-trained fur-kid. I just love the way she interacts with Amanda. So sweet! That little face is to die for .. and Amanda is a beautiful person inside and out.

My Heart's Work - 09 2019

I started taking photos of shelter animals in April of 2013 and have been pretty consistent with it through the years. I started with the League City Animal Shelter now League City Pets Alive…added the Webster Animal Shelter in June of 2014…Nassau Bay in May of 2015…Bayou Animal Services in October of 2015…Bay Area Pet Adoptions in December of 2016. There were also a couple of rescues added to my list in 2019. They were Ranger’s Reach and Albert’s Dog Lounge.

Each and every one of these babies are so deserving of better … more love, more understanding. Hopefully by the time I make this post each month most, if not all, are in loving homes. That is my hope.

BAPA Rockstar Puppy Reunion

In the fall of 2018 on a stormy night, six puppies were abandoned in a crate in the ditch outside Bay Area Pet Adoptions. The shelter took them in, dubbed them the Rock Star Puppies, and over the next few months were all adopted out to wonderful homes.

Sunday, September 8th 2019… they were reunited…and boy what fun!

Installing and Learning Ubuntu

In an effort to always be learning something, I decided to take an older laptop that I never use and install Linux on it. I did the normal Google searches and determined that Ubuntu was the most popular “flavor” of Linux.

It was very easy to down load the .ISO file from the Ubuntu website and the Rufus utility program to create a bootable USB drive from said .ISO file. Once I had the laptop booting into the Ubuntu on the USB drive, it was pretty straight forward to install Linux over the Windows 10 installation on my hard drive.
