2015 Paws & Claws Adopt-a-thon

This year's Paws & Claws Adopt-a-thon was held at Hometown Heroes Park. There were several shelters participating as well as many vendors.

The final numbers are below:

  1. Eventwide: 214 Adoptions (unsure of the dog/cat breakdown)
  2. League City Animal Shelter: 61 total (43 dogs and 18 cats)

There were also Flyball and K9 demonstrations.

Below are some photos I took during this wonderful event.

Between the Clear the Shelters Campaign a few weeks ago and the Adopt-a-thon, a LOT of awesome cats and dogs have found homes. That's what it's all about!

Shelter Summary - Week of August 24, 2015

Normal shelter photos and then the Paws and Claws Adopt-a-thon made for a very busy week. It is so good to see dogs and cats go to good homes. I believe all but one of the doggies below that I took photos of this week found a home at the Adopt-a-thon.

Shelter Summary - Week of August 17, 2015

I made it to the League City Animal Shelter twice this week. So many awesome dogs and cats that are looking for homes. I would have liked to have done more, but the rainy weather was a major factor this week...and I became ill mid-week.

After I got over my illness, I was able to make it to the Baybrook Petsmart for a little bit on Sunday to take some shots of LCAS volunteers and animals in action.

Shelter Summary - Week of August 10, 2015

I was fortunate to be able to spend more time for the shelters than normal. Monday, I picked up Tracker from LCAS and took him to the park for a couple of hours (blog post). If it would not have been so hot, I would have kept him out there much longer.

Blog Post: My Morning With Tracker

Tuesday, I did my normal weekly photos for the League City shelter.

Wednesday, I dropped by LCAS for a couple of hours in the afternoon and took some volunteer/animal photos.

Thursday, I met Amanda Trover at the park for Webster Animal Shelter photos.

Today, I dropped by the LCAS's Baybrook Petsmart adoption event.

Boeing Group Spa Day at LCAS

Some volunteers from The Boeing Group came to the League City Animal Shelter this past Saturday and provided a Spa Day for our doggies. They did an awesome job in getting a lot of the dogs bathed. The heat was close to unbearable outside. Below are few shots that I was able to get.
