10/27/20 – Nassau Bay TX | Pet Session

I first met Persie at the Java Owl Coffee House in Nassau Bay, TX. She is one of the most awesome dogs I’ve ever met and I had so much fun taking photos of her. I actually take a photo of her just about every time I see her… a couple of times a week, but one morning her mom said she would bring her to me at David Braun Park in Nassau Bay to get some pro photos. Love this girl so much!

Such a fun session with the cutest little girl! Scout was a riot to work with. She was not sure about us at first, but by the time we got her out in the grass and running around she was becoming comfortable with us being around. 🐾❤️

My Heart's Work | JUL-SEP 2020

I started taking photos of shelter animals in April of 2013. I feel as if it is my life’s purpose. A purpose that makes me mostly happy as I really feel good photos help get these babies into their forever home, but sometimes sad that they are even in the situation they are in and then downright angry at the way some humans treat the innocent…but I won’t go there. My focus must not be on bad people… they are not worth the air we breathe. My focus is on all the innocent dogs and cats that fill the shelters and rescues. The list of shelters, rescues and businesses I have volunteered for are listed at the end of this post.

Below is a collage I created of all the shelter babies I photo’d last quarter. Each and every one of these babies are so deserving of better … more love, more understanding. Hopefully by the time I make this post each month most, if not all, are in loving homes. That is my hope.

There are so many ways we as humans can help the animals that find their way into shelters.
