Shelter Summary - Week of November 23 2015

Really busy week for shelter work and a couple of paid jobs. Got all the shelters in on Monday and Tuesday and had all the photos done by Wednesday night. Going to my cousin's in Spring on Thanksgiving and on a camping trip Friday-Sunday, so I wanted to get as much done as I could. It was a nice weather week overall and as always there are some amazing animals up for adoption.

I was also able to spend some time with Julia, one of our great LCAS volunteers and her daughter out in the play yard with Rein. He is one of our wonderfully playful adoptable dogs.

Pretty much fought the weather both Monday and Tuesday, but I was able to get some photos. I worked with both the Dickinson and League City shelters. Breakdown is below.

In addition to all of these new dogs at LCAS, Duchess, a beautiful black lab mix was adopted over a month ago...her so-called owners took her to an area high kill shelter instead of turning her back to LCAS, where she would be safe. People are just downright crazy. :( She is back safe at League City.

Child/Pet Photo Session - Logan, Carly and Coconut

Beautiful morning...a little humid, but beautiful. I met Coconut first. Her owners have her well-trained. She was able to be off-leash and never ran away. I started taking some group shots with all three subjects. We had to keep treats and a tennis ball handy because after a while, Coconut's attention span diminished greatly, Ha! I had a lot of fun taking photos of Logan, Carly and Coconut.

Shelter Summary - Week of November 9 2015

Took photos for Texas AC Solutions in Dickinson on Monday. They have lots of awesome dogs and pups up for adoption. League City was next, on Tuesday. I noticed many more little dogs than normal this week. Shelters were closed on Wednesday for Veterans Day, so I met with Amanda Trover and took photos for both Webster Animal Shelter and Companion Animal Outreach of Galveston County on Thursday. Lots of fun with pups at the park!
